Joseph Morreale, M.D.

Board Certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon

Dr. Joseph Morreale

Dr. Joseph Morreale has spent his career at the forefront of cervical and lumbar artificial disc replacement surgery as a researcher, surgeon, and investigator on clinical trials.

He completed undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania. From there, he received a pre-baccalaureate premedical certificate followed by his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After a four-year orthopaedic residency at Temple University Hospital, Dr. Morreale spent the next year in a spinal surgery fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital, in Connecticut.

Dr. Morreale has published nearly a dozen publication articles, is a member of 10 medical societies, is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and holds a Level 2 Worker’s Compensation accreditation.

He is the founder and attending spine surgeon at MountainView Spine Center and he specializes in cervical and lumbar artificial disc replacement surgeries, as well as other conditions affecting the spine.

When he founded MountainView Spine Center, he wanted a practice focused on providing highly skilled spine care for people who suffer from spinal disorders. Each patient at MountainView Spine Center receives the undivided attention of their provider, who also provides custom treatment plans for every patient.

Dr. Morreale believes the best patient outcomes are achieved when conventional and technology-based treatments can work together. He likes to tell his patients two things: “There really aren’t any quick fixes” and “to be actively involved in the process.”

When outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Morreale enjoys spending time with his two children. You can often find him enjoying all the outdoor adventures Colorado has to offer—biking with his children, hiking National Park, canoeing, and skiing the Front Range.
